Composition & Mechanism of Action

Ingredients Profile

  • Active Ingredients: Acid regulators (E 262ii, E 331), salt, stabilizer (E 331), and antioxidant (E 300).
  • Technological Aids: Anticaking agent (2.5% silicon dioxide).

Bacteriostatic Action

The product functions as a powder with a strong bacteriostatic action. Nutra Protect YT works directly on the cytoplasmic membrane by disrupting its structure and altering its cellular functionality.

Dosage & Application Guidelines

  • Standard Formulation: The dosage is limited to 3-5 g of Nutra Protect YT per kg of finished product. It is recommended to add the product at any stage of the production process to assure a uniform distribution.
  • Surface Application: To inhibit the development of surface contamination on finished products, it is highly recommended to apply by dipping. For dipping applications, prepare a dispersion of water with a concentration of 1-5% of Nutra Protect YT.

Storage, Packaging & Compliance

  • Packaging: Available in packages of 1 or 25 kg.
  • Storage Conditions: Store in a cool and dry place. Avoid temperatures above 25°C.
  • Shelf Life: Two years after its production.
  • Labeling Requirements (FSIS 7120.1): Classified as Antimicrobial. All ingredients must be listed by their common or usual name in the ingredients statement.
  • GMO Status: Non-GMO product. Nutra Protect YT does not contain genetically modified organisms and is not produced with genetically modified raw materials. It does not require labeling under directions (EG) 1829/2003 or (EG) 1830/2003 regarding genetically modified food and feed traceability.
  • Allergen Control: Cross contamination risk is minimized via closed production equipment in divided rooms, specialized dust removal machineries, and regular wet cleaning processes.
